Scottish Liberal Democrats announce Maryfield candidate

The Scottish Liberal Democrats have announced their candidate for next month's Maryfield Ward by-election.

The Liberal Democrat candidate will be Chris McIntyre, a third year student of Environmental Science at the University of Dundee. Originally hailing from Gateshead, Chris has made his home in Dundee where he is a volunteer with the 30th Dundee Scout Group who meet at the Meadowside St Paul's Church Hall in the Maryfield Ward.

Chris has volunteered with the scouting movement for many years and is also an active member of Dundee Liberal Democrats.

Dundee LibDem Councillor Fraser Macpherson said, "Chris is hard-working and will go the extra mile to tackle issues on behalf of local people. He'll make an excellent councillor for the people of Maryfield."
