Dundee Liberal Democrats support Friends' Week 2006

Dundee Liberal Democrats today (Wednesday 25th October) lent their support to Friends' Week 2006, which aims to recruit more volunteer friends and boost fundraising initiatives already in place at a local level.
"Attend" is a membership organisation formed in 1949 which exists to promote and develop the role of volunteers in our health and social care services throughout the UK.
It works in partnership with charitable organisations and their volunteers and provides support for their work.
Dundee Liberal Democrat councillor for Strathmartine Ward, Cllr Helen Dick, said, "We fully support the aim of Friends' Week to recruit more people to assist volunteering."
