Dundee Liberal Democrats today (Sunday 18th May) backed comments by Scottish Liberal Democrat Leader, Nicol Stephen MSP, that the First Minister's recent statement on "Moving Scotland Forward" was both "thin and vacuous."
Mr Stephen said, "The thing that people remember most about the first year of this SNP government is the broken promises. Students, housing, class sizes, school buildings. The list goes on.
"But not everyone is as generous in their assessment of the SNP government as me. The Financial Times ... described the first year as, 'doing nothing very much at all'".
Here in Dundee, City Council Liberal Democrat Group Leader, Cllr Fraser Macpherson, said, "The First Minister unveiled very few specific new policies and Salmond's first year as First Minister has shown the SNP to have presided over a catalogue of broken promises. If ever there was a case of spin over substance, this was it."
