Dundee LibDems welcome "serious debate" over future of Scottish broadcasting

Dundee Liberal Democrats today (Thursday 9th August) backed calls for a "serious debate" about the future of Scottish broadcasting.
Commenting after the SNP First Minister's speech to creative industry leaders, Scottish LibDem Culture spokesperson Iain Smith MSP said said, "Scottish Liberal Democrats would welcome a serious debate about the future of broadcasting in Scotland and the role the Scottish Parliament should have in regulating broadcasting in Scotland."
Here in Dundee, City Council LibDem Group Leader Cllr Fraser Macpherson added, "A debate on the future of broadcasting in Scotland is to be welcomed although we should never forget how important it is that Scotland continues to have positive access to UK broadcasters."
