"Despite an apology from Scottish Water yesterday, I received a call from a constituent after lunch today to say the uncovered drain had still not been attended to. Having immediately checked the position, the gentleman who called me is completely correct - Scottish Water has not fixed the drain cover. There's a hole in the road any child's foot could slip down - its an accident waiting to happen," said Cllr Macpherson.

Cllr Macpherson said he has called Scottish Water's Emergency Helpline and they have promised action. He said this afternoon - "Actions speak louder than words and I really feel Scottish Water's response has been thoroughly inadequate."
