Cllr Helen Dick supports composting initiative

Dundee City Council LibDem Vice Convener of Environmental Services & Sustainability, Cllr Helen Dick, today (Monday 24th April) took part in the launch of an exciting new Council partnership with the Waste and Resources Action Programme which is aimed getting local residents to buy the heavily subsidised, cut-price home composting units.

The project will see Dundee households receiving publicity about how to order a subsidised home composting bin, which comes delivered free and with a guide to home composting.

Helen said at the launch, ""This is a tremendous initiative that builds on Dundee's long-established recycling credentials. I hope as many people as possible will take advantage."
