Helen Dick pleased at good news on missing bus shelter

Following an enquiry on last Sunday's Tay Talk In, Cllr Helen Dick has obtained clarification from Dundee City Council about the missing bus shelter in Strathmartine Road, next to the Downfield Post Office.

Helen advised that the Council had told her that the new shelter was delayed firstly because the erection of scaffolding against the adjacent tenement and then the discovery of basements extending into the footway. The basement issue has required a change in design and a new roof has had to be ordered.

However, Helen was pleased to hear the new shelter will be delivered and hopefully installed before the end of March. The good news was reported by Ally to Tay Talk listeners this morning (Sunday 12th March).
