Dundee City Council's LibDem Vice Convener of Environmental Services & Sustainability, Cllr Helen Dick, today (Wednesday 8th March) lent her support to "No Smoking Day" and the many events across the UK to mark the day.

No Smoking Day is organised by a charity and is now in its 23rd year. It aims to help people who want to stop smoking by creating a supportive environment for them, and by highlighting the many sources of help available to people who want to quit.

Helen said today, "I congratulate the organisers of the 23rd 'No Smoking Day' for highlighting the support available to support smokers who want to stop and promoting the health and other benefits to stopping smoking."
