Dundee City Council's Liberal Democrat Vice Convener of Environmental Services and Sustainability, Cllr Helen Dick, has given her support to "One Bin Day" next Tuesday (21st February) an attempt by Envirowise to urge businesses to limit the number of rubbish bins available in their office and witness the amount of waste produced in one day.

The day also aims to encourage thought about both resources and profitability. The average office worker uses 50 sheets of paper per day.
Helen said today (17th February), "This is an excellent initiative to highlight the waste that businesses can produce. By tackling this, we can not only improve business profitability and efficiency, but there are also very significant environmental gains to be made."
